Depending on the operating conditions there are different requirements for the housings. Compact housings made of Aluminium are completely sufficient for standard applications and although in dust explosive atmospheres. ATEX approvals for gas explosive atmospheres require the larger round housings. For higher demands both versions can be ordered in stainless steel as well.
