Point level measurement –
Reliable measurement results

Bulk solids have very different properties and we have the right measuring technology for each. For reliable level detection - even in potentially explosive areas - you can choose between rotary paddle detectors, membrane level indicators, vibrating level switches, microwave barriers or pendulum full detectors. Liquid levels are monitored with simple float switches.

Point level measurement involves measuring a specific fill level of bulk solids in silos or containers. Measuring devices from the MOLOSroto, MOLOSmembran, MOLOSvibro, MOLOSbarrier, and MOLOSpendu series emit an electronic signal as soon as the fill level to be monitored is reached. There are various measurement technologies available for level monitoring. These include, for example, the rotary paddle switch. In this case, a measuring paddle rotating in the container is prevented from turning and stopped as soon as the bulk material reaches the paddle. The reverse torque turns the rotatably mounted motor out of its end position and activates the signal switch by means of a switch arm. A second switch switches off the motor with a delay. If the fill level drops and the measuring blade is released, a spring moves the motor back to its original end position. The motor is switched on again and the signal switch is switched back. The trade press often refers to these sensors as level indicators, demand indicators, level gauges, level detectors, level meters, level measuring devices, level sensors, empty indicators, full indicators, or level switches. All devices can also be supplied with the relevant ATEX approvals if required.
